The county’s Chief Administrative officer manages the county’s own administration. He prepares cases for the county’s Council Committee and the County and Executive Committees. He also supervises the entire county management.

Jan Øhlckers is the Chief Administrative Officer in the county of Sogn og Fjordane. He is the top leader for the overall administration. The county’s Central Administration is located in the county hall in Leikanger and in Førde (Department of Culture).
